Potato Festival 2008

So this is the first year I've ever been to the Potato Festival. The past 4 years I've been working or else had other plans on the day it was. This year was the 5th annual. I helped serve FREE fries in the morning. After lunch I helped sell raffle tickets at the Simplot vs. McCain charity ball game for Cancer Care. WE FINALLY BEAT THEM! I think final score was 25-19. Its about time. Never did get the trophy though so McCains must still have it. In the evening was Doc Walker. Wow we rocked the place. It was an awesome day, extrememly hot but good. I didn't even get burnt except for my face got a little red. I'm amazed I didn't look like a lobster.

Summer so far....

Well as you can see I haven't updated since Grad. Seems like summer has flown by. I haven't even got to go camping, to the beach or pool yet. ITS CRAZY! August long from the Saturday til Monday I spent in Winkler. I went to 2 weddings in July; I got to be the MC at Dwayne and Judys wedding. Other than that I haven't really done a lot this summer except work. I did to go the Mud Bog and Rodeo in Austin on the last day. I went to Paul Martens and Loretta Zacharias' engagement party. They're getting married Oct.18/08 so yet another wedding to go to. So far I've gone to 3 weddings. One year I went to 6 or 7 and I told Mom that I wasn't going to buy another wedding gift until I got some. But surprise surprise I still have to keep buying wedding gifts. So ya....oh well. One of these days I'll be the one getting the gifts! HA HA HA!

Cadence Martens and I

Cadence (right) took Makaylas (left) soother and put it in her mouth. Makayla wants it back. lol
