WOW I haven't posted in almost 3 months!

So I realized today that I haven't posted in 3 months. YIKES! I don't think anyone ever reads this anyways. Lets see what happened in the past 3 months..........

*Colleen Bueckert and Jamie Penner got married on May 31/08
*We had supper with my cousins from Saskatchewan at Altos here in town. Had so much fun and we were loud!

*4 of us from Simplot decided we are going to go to VEGAS in September. So far there are only 4 of us going for sure. So I've been trying to save up for that.

*We had a pre-wedding party for Jamie and Colleen @ the beginning of May. We played baseball, had a bonfire and then played lawn dutch blitz. It was FREEZING cold that day.

*I went out to Winkler on Mothers Day weekend (from Thursday-Saturday night). On the Friday Stien, Lina and I went shopping in Winnipeg and then to Celebrations. I think we had planned it in Jan that after Lina had the baby we were going shopping. We had a blast. Celebrations was awesome. The show was Greys House of Anatomy. I've watched 1 episode of Greys and none of House and I still found it hilarious!!

I can't believe my little sister is graduating from High School next week. She got accepted to start school in October at Advanced in Brandon to become a Nail Tech! CONGRATS MELINDA! I'm so happy for you!

SURPRISE!

Well we finally had my sister Melindas surprise 18th this past weekend. And boy did we ever get her good. he he he. First her boyfriend Justin Delorme showed up Friday and she freaked out. And then me and 15 others showed up and ran down the stairs. Justin knew what we were doing but Melinda never suspected anything. She kept telling us that we were evil and then we'd just laugh. We went bowling in Neepawa and then had supper at my parents. In the evening we played a couple games. After that I said ok we're all going for a walk.....it was so stinkin hot at Mom and Dads and we all had a whack load of energy so we went for like a mile walk.

The original plan was that Justin would come up to Portage on Friday night, crash here for the night and then we'd head to my parents Saturday. But Thursday he text me and said that he had to work Monday so he wanted to go to Melindas already Friday afternoon. So I said ok but YOU BETTER NOT SAY ANYTHING TO MEL! He's like don't worry I won't. And he didn't. I had fun. Those young kids tired me out. lol. I'm getting old. Good times we had though.

New little "niece"

So here is my new "niece". Makayla Brielle Peters. The proud parents are Henry and Lina Peters. Makayla arrived on Feb.29/08 so that makes her a leap year baby, 9lbs 6oz! She is such a little cutie! Does the baby suit me? haha. I've dreamt WAY to often lately that I'm having babies. Again this morning. haha. ARGH kinda scary actually. I'm not even married to anyone, let alone even dating anyone.

This is my other "niece" Isabelle Rosalyn born in Sept 07. Such a little cutie. She loves her jolly jumper.

Salt Trucks in the Winter....

Ok, so this is quite random (as Pete Fehr would say lol). In my new job, I get to watch the traffic drive by all the time on the highway, especially at nights when I have nothing better to do. The past 2 nights I've noticed the Salt/Sand trucks going out quite regularly in the middle of the night, when the highways are clear. They're out on the highways for no use! Maybe its just me but I think its pointless. I don't know about anybody else, but I've had enough of winter! Time to warm up. My skin can't take it anymore. Psoriasis doesn't like cold dry weather!

SICK OF WINTER! :(

Well its been quite awhile since I last blogged. Thought I should post a new one for a change.

Whats happened since I last blogged:

I got my new job out in the scalehouse shack. Its great! I'm glad to be back out there. I took a pay cut but it is SOOOO worth it.

I got these flowers from Charli. On the card it said "Happy Rotic Night!" Couldn't figure out what it meant for the life of me. I kind of had an idea who sent them. Turns out I was right on that part, they were from Charlene. And "Rotic" means Romantic without the man....lol. Leave it to Charlene to think of something like that! THANKS FOR THE FLOWERS CHARLENE!!! *hugs* Then on Valentines day I got a mini rose plant from one of the Burbank Express drivers.

We had a going away party for Rob Orchard. He left for Afghanistan on Feb.18 for 6-8 months. So we got him a shirt and then all signed it. Carolyn Klassen did some nice artwork and so did I. haha. I think he liked it.

I watched my first ever Lunar Eclipse, might not ever happen again. I kept popping my head out of the door at work because it was FREEZING out so I didn't stand out and watch the whole thing. It was pretty cool though.

I got my ears pierced for the first time too. Didn't even hurt. And I thought it was going to.

Some exciting news! Colleen Bueckert is engaged to Jamie Penner (wedding is 05/31/08 @ 16:30), my roomie Judy Peters is engaged to Dwayne Driedger (wedding is 07/19/08) and my sister Melinda is graduating (and she has a boyfriend, named Justin Delorme). Craziness man!

Oh, Faon Lee, Bonnie Nelson and I went to see Emerson Drive, Terri Clark, Cowboy Troy and BIG & RICH! Wow that concert was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best one I've ever been to I think.

Christmas 2007

Christmas was good. To the left is a picture of 3 of my co workers and I at our shift party at the Warf (lounge at the Canad Inn here in P la P). l-r Pam A, Sharon C, Monique VDS, and myself. Oh we had a good time that night. I called it a night at 12:30am. Church was in the morning and I didn't want to miss it, since I had skipped the Christmas program to attend this party. Christmas eve we had Christmas at Mom and Dads. I got a mink blanket, 2 cookie sheets, digital timer, and a lime green towel from my parents. My sister got me a hoodie and my brother got me a spice rack.

Christmas day I went to Austin Church for Christmas morning church. Then to Aunt Maris for the Bueckert gathering. She hosted it this year. We had a good time laughing and eating....of course...thats what mennonites do. From Grandma B I got a house coat and a clothes horse (to dry your clothes on inside).

Boxing day I slept in, then went to Kevin and Amandas for the Klassen gathering. They hosted it in their new house this year. We had a lot of fun. From Grandpa and Grandma K I got new floor mats for my jeep. I ended up staying til 12:10 am. It was fun. I usually don't hang out a lot with my cousins on that side so it was good to catch up and play 2 rounds of cards, which I totally lost in. Oh well it was a blast. I ended up getting the flu on the 29 in the wee hours of the morning so I kept Dads recliner or the bed down for the next couple of days. haha

I'll post some more pictures another day. I gotta run.
